This Privacy Policy explains how the Bozzi mobile application ("Bozzi," "the app," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects your information. Bozzi is operated by Cheyenne Fakouri, an individual doing business as "Bozzi" ("the operator"). By creating an account and using Bozzi, you agree to the practices described here. Bozzi was previously published under the name "NextUP" — this policy covers the same app.

1. Who we are

Bozzi is a multi-sport app for finding and hosting pickup games and running recreational leagues with friends and groups. The app is operated by Cheyenne Fakouri as an individual. For any privacy questions or requests, contact us at support@bozzisports.com.

2. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information so the app can function:

Account & identity	Email address, username, display name, password (stored securely by our authentication provider), date of birth, and, where provided, name details.	To create and secure your account, apply our age requirements, and identify you to people you play with.
Profile information	Profile photo, bio, primary sport, gender, pronouns, optional height and weight, and any payment handle (such as a Venmo handle) you choose to add.	To build your player profile that other users can view, and to let players settle game costs directly with hosts. You control whether physical stats are shown.
Location	The area you set on your profile, locations of games you create, and—only when you choose to check in to a game—your device's precise location at that moment.	To show games near you, set game venues, and verify attendance at a game's venue (check-in). Precise location is used only at the moment you tap to check in and is not tracked in the background.
Content you create	Messages you send in direct, group, game, team, and series chats (including photos and polls); games, series, leagues, and teams you create; personal notes; and any reports you submit.	To deliver your messages, run games and leagues, and let you report content or users.
Social connections	Friends, friend groups, teams and leagues you belong to, game participation, and users you have blocked.	To power the social features of the app—group chats, invitations, rosters, and your network of players.
Device & technical	Push notification token, app version, device platform and model.	To deliver notifications and diagnose problems you report.
Attendance & reliability	Game check-in records (including check-in location and computed distance from the venue) and reliability indicators derived from attendance.	To support reliability features that help hosts and players know who reliably shows up.
Usage & analytics	Screens you view in the app and in-app actions such as creating or joining a game, opening a chat, or sending a message or poll — recorded as event names with related details (such as the sport of a game you create or the general area set on your profile), never the content of what you write and never your precise location. Collected with your account id, IP address, app version, device model, and operating system.	To understand which features are used and make the app better. We do not use this data for advertising, and it is never shared with data brokers or used to track you across other apps.

3. How we use your information

To provide and operate the app's core features: scheduling games, joining games, messaging, managing groups, and running leagues.
To show you relevant games (near you or within your network) and surface invitations and activity.
To send you notifications you've enabled (game reminders, invitations, messages, friend requests, and game changes).
To verify attendance through optional check-in and to maintain reliability features.
To understand, in aggregate, how the app is used so we can improve it (analytics).
To keep the app safe—operating blocking, reporting, and moderation features.
To respond to your support requests and bug reports.

4. User-generated content, blocking, and moderation

Bozzi lets users post content and message one another. We do not tolerate objectionable content or abusive behavior. The app provides tools to:

Report content or users you find objectionable.
Block users, which removes them from your experience and prevents interaction.
Delete your own chat messages — for yourself, or for everyone in the conversation.

We review reports and act on objectionable content and abusive users—including removing content and removing offending users—within a reasonable time. To report a concern directly, contact support@bozzisports.com.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share information only as follows:

With other users: Your profile, the games you create or join, and your messages are visible to the users those features are intended for (for example, other participants in a game, members of a group chat or team, or people you message).
With service providers who process data on our behalf so the app can work:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and storage hosting.
- Expo — push notification delivery.
- Google — location autocomplete (Google Places) and Android push delivery (Firebase Cloud Messaging).
- PostHog — product analytics (the usage data described in Section 2), hosted in the United States.
For legal reasons: if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of users or the operator.

6. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your profile is cleared and replaced with a "Deleted User" placeholder, and your personal information is removed from it, except where we must retain certain data to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes. Some records persist after deletion: content you shared with others (for example, messages in a group) may remain visible to those recipients; game participation, attendance, and reliability records stay on record (under the "Deleted User" placeholder) so other players' histories stay intact; and product-analytics events remain keyed to an internal account id — you can ask us to erase them. If you accepted our liability waiver, we retain the acceptance record (your name, email, account id, the waiver version, and when you accepted it) as evidence of the agreement, even after account deletion. 7. Your rights and choices

Access and correction: You can view and edit your profile information in the app at any time.
Deletion: You can delete your account directly in the app (Settings → Delete Account), or by emailing support@bozzisports.com. See Delete Your Account.
Notifications: You can control which notifications you receive in the app's settings, and disable them entirely in your device settings.
Location: Precise location is requested only when you check in to a game. You can deny or revoke this permission in your device settings; without it, self check-in is unavailable, and the game's host can record your attendance instead.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA, including the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your data. To exercise any of these, contact us at the email above.

8. Age requirement and children's privacy

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use Bozzi, as set out in our Release of Liability agreement and Terms of Service. Bozzi is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 — we require a date of birth at sign-up and reject under-13 registrations. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it. If you believe a child has provided us information, or that a user does not meet the age requirement, contact support@bozzisports.com.

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls at the database level. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and respond to issues promptly.

10. International users

Bozzi is operated from the United States. If you use the app from outside the United States, your information will be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate, which may have different data-protection laws than your country.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of Bozzi after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
